They range from minor creatures to complex intelligent creatures yet all have a level of threat to a person's life. Some may be small bits of Grimm who are mindless, but there are stronger Grimm out there. Ones who have lived for hundreds of years and has gained knowledge of how to survive. Always be on the lookout for these creatures, for they may show up at any time. As they are attracted to negativity, be careful on how much chaos you unleash and where you roam. Not being careful enough may just end you in shreds, or in the stomachs of Grimm. Harden your soul, and use your dust to wipe them out.[break][break]

- Green: The most harmless. These are usually the most common Grimm usually being alone or with one other
- Blue: The Second most harmless. While they may be a small group or a weakened alpha.
- Yellow: A dangerous creature, capable of killing many before being brought down. These are usually singular alphas or a larger group of normal grimm
- Red: This is one of the most dangerous situations to be in. To be in this category means that a very large group of Grimm [with one or more alpha] or a singular more powerful opponent is coming your way.
- Black: The most dangerous category. This is reserved for the legendary Grimm. Grimm that cannot be defeated by a simple group of hunters. You need real skill and a lot of help to defeat these. Fighting these Grimm usually attracts more Grimm to their location due to the sheer amount of power. Good thing that they are very rare and usually are lying in deep slumber in random places of remnant.
